The first Expendable was a decent action movies that ultimately failed to live up to its promise. While Stallone was the main star, the other action legends Schwarzenegger and Willis were only in brief scenes. Of the other primary characters, only Dolph Lundgren and Jet Li count among the film heroes of yesteryear.
The newest film looks to have Schwarzenegger and Willis in more prominent roles along with a role for Chuck Norris. Plus, Jean-Claude Van Damme will take a turn as the villain. All of this makes me believe the sequel will be a more interesting movie, accomplishing what the first movie should have done.
I go into this movie expecting bad puns, lots of explosions, and a high body count. Should be good times.
